Jane-Sylvie Van den Bosch’s seeds symbolise the germination of different worlds bordering ours. At first glance the seed is a whole, finished object. But if you dive your sight into it, you discover lines and vegetable curves, insipired by the living, rythming the material.

These works express Jane-Sylvie Van den Bosch’s conscience of the environmental impact of her passions. To work with (hot) glass consumes a lot of energy. “Ice-Seed” are born by the melting of the glacier which we take apart every day. They contribute to the extinction of an ancient world, but maybe also, I hope, to the build of a new era.
